SAN DIEGO, CA, November 19, 2025 – AirHopAI today announced significant progress deploying the company’s AI/ML-powered Auptim Energy Savings with MIMO Adaptation (ESMA) solution at scale with Rakuten Mobile. Since March 2025, AirHop has deployed its energy-efficient network operations solution to thousands of cells across Rakuten Mobile’s nationwide network in Japan.
AirHopAI’s ESMA solution leverages AI/ML-based traffic prediction models to dynamically and automatically optimize MIMO antenna configurations, minimizing RAN power consumption while maintaining high end-user performance. Designed for both 4G and 5G networks in cloud and traditional RAN architectures, ESMA continues to demonstrate measurable reductions in energy usage and operational costs at scale.
